The Viber button opens the contact’s chat in Viber Desktop with the number from your CRM filled in. From that chat you call or send a message, with the Viber account you already have. There is no Viber business account, API or chatbot to set up. With Pro, each click is logged in your CRM; the chat itself stays in Viber.
For a Dutch contact with the number 020 123 4567, the button opens this link (taken from the extension’s code; the + is written as %2B).

Viber Desktop on your computer, linked to Viber on your phone. Viber’s help centre says you need Viber installed and activated on your phone first, and the latest version of the phone app. Calls to people who aren’t on Viber need Viber Out credit or a plan (Viber Support, both checked 30 October 2026; links below).
Viber explains linking the desktop app in Set up Viber on your desktop and paid calls in Make a Viber Out call (both checked 30 October 2026). If most of your customers use WhatsApp, the WhatsApp button fills the template into the chat for you. To call ordinary phone numbers through your company’s phone line instead of Viber Out, use the softphone button with your own VoIP app or the Teams button.
No. The button uses Viber’s chat link, so it opens the chat with the contact in Viber Desktop and you press call there.
If the contact isn’t on Viber, you can’t chat or make a free Viber call with them. To reach them, use Viber Out: in Viber Desktop, click your profile picture, choose Use Dial Pad and call the number. That needs Viber Out credit or a plan, and the person sees your Viber phone number.
The button uses Viber’s chat link, which takes only the number. So CallerPlugins puts the filled-in template on your clipboard and Viber opens the chat; you paste it with Ctrl+V and press send. WhatsApp and Telegram links can carry the text, so there the message is filled in.
No. The conversation stays in Viber on your phone and computer. CallerPlugins doesn’t read or send Viber messages, and it doesn’t send bulk messages. With Pro, the click is logged in your CRM, with the template you picked as a note.
Yes. CallerPlugins started in March 2026 as Viber Dialer, a Viber button for Pipedrive. Since version 2.0.0 (13 October 2026) Viber is one of eight tools in CallerPlugins for Pipedrive, and it also works in HubSpot, Teamleader and Odoo.
The button is free for 10 uses per month, or 100 a month shared by your team once you confirm a company email. Pro is €4.99 per user per tool a month (excl. VAT), or less billed yearly. Viber calls between Viber users are part of Viber itself; Viber Out calls are paid to Viber.
