Paste a phone number the way it is written in your CRM or email signature, add a message if you like, and copy the wa.me link. The number is cleaned with the same code our CRM extension uses, so spaces, dashes, 00 and the national 0 are handled for you.
Runs in your browser. The number and message are not sent to us; we only count clicks on Copy and Test.
Use the link as the target of a “Chat on WhatsApp” button. Visitors on a phone go straight to the app; on a computer they see a page that opens WhatsApp Desktop or WhatsApp Web.
Put the link under your phone number so the customer can ask a question in one tap.
Making a link by hand for every contact gets old quickly. The WhatsApp button in CallerPlugins does this next to every number in Pipedrive, HubSpot, Teamleader Focus and Odoo, with the contact’s name filled into your message templates.
A wa.me link only opens a chat. It doesn’t check beforehand whether the number uses WhatsApp; you find out when the link opens. It can’t send a message by itself, and the person still has to press send. The pre-filled text is a suggestion the sender can change.
CallerPlugins is free for 100 clicks per tool per month for your company. See pricing.
