Most Pipedrive WhatsApp extensions add a Pipedrive sidebar to WhatsApp Web and save chats as notes. Pipechat is the largest; MessageHub, LeadOn, PONI and Chat2Deal are smaller. CallerPlugins works the other way round: it puts a WhatsApp button next to each phone number in Pipedrive and never reads your chats. If you need full conversations saved in Pipedrive on an official connection, Pipedrive’s own WhatsApp integration needs the Growth plan or higher.
Use Pipedrive’s own WhatsApp integration. It runs through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, so you need the Growth plan or higher and Meta charges per message. It is still in beta and not on every account yet. TimelinesAI is the alternative if your team shares one number and you want a shared inbox on top.
Pick one of the sidebar extensions. Pipechat has the most users (6,000 on Chrome) and 4.5 stars on the Pipedrive Marketplace, but 2.9 from 19 ratings in the Chrome Web Store. MessageHub (made by TimelinesAI) and LeadOn have far fewer users (197 and 46). Try two of them on a few contacts before you roll one out.
Use CallerPlugins. The button opens WhatsApp Desktop, or WhatsApp Web if Desktop isn’t installed, with the chat ready. The same row of buttons also calls through Microsoft Teams, Zoom Phone, Google Voice or your softphone. It saves nothing from your chats; with Pro, each click is logged as an activity.

We read every Chrome Web Store listing and Pipedrive Marketplace page in the table on 3 November 2026 and copied the numbers as they were shown. User counts are Chrome’s own figures and round small numbers; Marketplace review counts sometimes differ between the page and its data, so we give the visible figure. We have not installed the other extensions on our work account, so their columns describe what their listings promise. The CallerPlugins row comes from our own Pipedrive account, where we test every release.
Free for 100 clicks per tool per month for your company. See pricing.
Pipechat, with 6,000 Chrome users and 300+ Pipedrive Marketplace installs (checked 3 November 2026). JONI has more users, about 40,000, but it is a general WhatsApp Web tool; its Pipedrive part is the separate PONI extension, with 599 users.
CallerPlugins has a free plan with no end date: 100 clicks per tool per month for everyone on your company email domain. Pipechat is listed as free on the Pipedrive Marketplace but its extension mentions in-app purchases. PONI shows no price; MessageHub has a 7-day trial.
For Pipechat, MessageHub, LeadOn, PONI and Chat2Deal, yes: they run inside WhatsApp Web in Chrome. Pipedrive’s own integration doesn’t, because it uses the WhatsApp Business Platform. CallerPlugins opens WhatsApp Desktop when it is installed and falls back to WhatsApp Web.
Yes, on the Growth plan and higher. It connects a WhatsApp Business account through Meta, and Meta charges per message (Pipedrive support page, checked 3 November 2026). It is still in beta. On Lite you need an extension or a Marketplace app.
Probably. We have not tested them side by side, but CallerPlugins only adds buttons in Pipedrive and adds nothing to WhatsApp Web, so it should not get in a sidebar’s way. Some teams start chats from Pipedrive with CallerPlugins and save the important ones with a sidebar tool.
